About the Venue

Established in 1977 by a small group of enthusiastic community members, the Ravensthorpe Regional Arts Council became an incorporated association in 1988. It is a non-profit volunteer-based organisation that provides a diverse and adventurous arts program of events throughout the Ravensthorpe region. Each year the RRAC hosts various art activities, events and workshops to meet the artistic and cultural needs of the community. Through its projects the RRAC develops audiences and engages participants, encouraging the use of arts to build community cohesion and identity. With the reputation of hosting high quality events and providing art opportunities to the community, it continues as a strong organization, recognising the interest in environment and sustainability, growing with the changing needs of the Ravensthorpe region. RRAC seeks to build partnerships with local businesses, community groups, government and individuals in order to further develop art and culture in the wider region, to raise the profile of the Shire of Ravensthorpe and all of its stakeholders, and to promote a positive economic impact within the region.

RRAC runs a varied programme throughout the year which includes Country Arts Touring shows, artist workshops and one off touring shows.
