Committee

Libby Klysz is a performer, director, and producer. She has worked for a variety of companies over fifteen years, such as Perth Festival, The Last Great Hunt, Black Swan State Theatre Company, Barking Gecko Theatre, and WAAPA. As a freelancer she has produced heaps of independent projects and tours across theatre, dance and comedy. As an artist she has been behind a number of award winning shows. She lectures in arts education at ECU and teaches at WAAPA. Libby was on the Board of The Blue Room Theatre for seven years, including five years as Chair. Increasingly over the past 18 years in the sector, Libby has been involved in arts advocacy at state and national level: a fierce champion for Western Australian arts, especially independent artists. Working across diverse organisations and as a practising artist herself, she’s uniquely positioned to see a wide view of the performing arts ecology.
