Yatangal – Life Circle

A journey into the song, dance, language and culture of the Kimberley’s Karajarri tribe

The Yatangal ‘Life Circle’ experience is a journey into the song, dance, language and culture of the Kimberley’s Karajarri tribe.

Founder of the project Mervyn Mulardy is accompanied by a full band and traditional dancers. He is traditional man who presents Yatangal as a well-respected representative from Karajarri land. Yatangal was presented in the 2017 Perth Festival program at His Majesty’s Theatre, which then lead to the project touring and recording in Victoria.

Embraced by contemporary influences this show celebrates inclusion inviting intellects, culture connoisseurs and members of society alike to be part of this memorable performance.

The Yatangal experience has created a pathway for youth to share their pride and culture to the world through song, dance and language, similar to the successes of Yothu Yindi and the Yothu Yindi Foundation.
