While navigating the realities of being a working actor post-WAAPA (Acting, 2004), Sarah began studying clinical psychology at the University of Melbourne and found herself in the midst of a career shift, registering as a Clinical Psychologist in 2014. Nowadays, Sarah shares her time between clinical mental health settings (such as WA and Melbourne Health Depts; headspace; Orygen Youth Health and National Centre of Excellence) with her role as Principal Psychologist with Green Room Psychology. Recent Green Room Psychology collaborations include with SAFE Theatres Australia; Melbourne Fringe; WAAPA; VCA Film; Union House Theatre; WAYJO and the MEAA. Some of Sarah’s favourite psychology work includes exploring the effects of stress on performance with an orchestra; advising on the neuro-psychology of trauma to help a specific character development prep; and supporting crew and administrators to strengthen their self-care and resilience skills.
