About the Venue
Nestled in the tree-lined, charming hilltop town of Kalamunda, this superb centre comprises the Performing Arts Theatre Auditorium, the Performing Arts Teaching Area, the Kalamunda Agricultural Hall and Lesser Hall.
The proscenium arch theatre has attractive décor, raked seating for 257, a large sprung stage (thrust can be added), an orchestra pit, a well equipped Bio Box, ample dressing rooms, a green room and male and female toilet and shower facilities. The theatre has reverse-cycle air conditioning for year round comfort and is complemented by its large foyer with a ticket box, bar area and comfortable seating.

A smaller teaching area with an audience capacity of 60 can be used as an intimate black box theatre, rehearsal space, or meeting room. The theatre is adjacent to the Shire’s “grand old dame”, the Agricultural Hall, which boasts a capacity of up to 230 people and includes a large kitchen making it the perfect venue for all occasions-from dance classes to weddings and even concerts and cabaret nights.
The Agricultural Hall also contains the Lesser Hall (the original Agricultural Hall building) which is perfect for meetings, smaller functions or exhibitions.
The theatre is used by a variety of community groups, drama groups, dance schools, and professional performers.
